Fire and Safety Inspections

Please contact the TCPD for any Fire Inspections which are required.

Cottages located in the Minnedosa Cabin Area are required to have a Fire Inspection completed, at the owner’s expense, on renewal of the land lease or sale of seasonal residence.

Provincially Mandated Scheduled Inspections

Annual Inspections

Annual inspections are required for:

  • Elderly Persons’ Housing Units or Hostels
  • Childcare Centres
  • Personal Care Homes
  • Residential Care Facilities
  • Hospitals

Inspections Every Two Years

Inspections are required every two years for:

  • High Hazard Industrial Facilities

Inspections Every Three Years

Inspections are required every three years for:

  • Licensed premises as defined in the Liquor Control Act
  • Private and public schools including Universities and Colleges
  • Recreation Centres including Arenas, Community Clubs and Curling Rinks
  • Restaurants located in a building that contains one or more dwelling units
  • Churches
  • Hotels and Motels
